Short Bio:
Ms. Hue Nguyen is an experienced climate change and sustainable development expert with strong expertise in GHG inventories, MRV systems, transparency reporting, climate finance, and sustainability training. She has coordinated and delivered numerous projects for UNFCCC, ADB, UNDP, GIZ, USAID, C40, and private-sector partners, with over 50 projects spanning local, national, and international levels. She has supported key Vietnamese ministries—including the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and the Ministry of Finance—in strengthening climate governance and low-carbon development. Noteworthy achievements include her significant contributions to Vietnam’s National Communications (NC), Biennial Update Reports (BUR), and the first Biennial Transparency Report (BTR). She also serves as a UNFCCC rostered expert, conducting technical analyses of national reports under both the Kyoto Protocol and the Enhanced Transparency Framework (ETF). Beyond her technical work, Ms. Hue Nguyen is committed to community engagement, gender equality, and women’s empowerment. She actively integrates gender perspectives into climate and energy initiatives and contributes to professional communities such as the Women in Energy Vietnam Network (WEVN) and the Climate Leaders Network, supporting more inclusive and equitable climate action.
